Our first official session will
be held on Wednesday, December 7th at the West Bentleigh Cricket
Club at Victory Park, Patterson Road Bentleigh.
Training sessions from then will
be on Mondays and Wednesdays at Bentleigh Rec, Arthur St, Bentleigh
from 6pm.
The Club will be providing a bbq
and the West Bentleigh bar will be open for the purchase of
drinks.
We would hope that
ALL Bentleigh players and
recruits attend this session as it will set the scene for the 2
training sessions to be held before Christmas (Wed 14th and 21st
Dec. at Victory Park)
Based on feedback from players, coaches and members of the
committee a number of changes have been put in place for season
2012.
The key coaching appointments include Lex Munro - reappointed as
Senior Coach. Mick Lee has indicated his desire to continue
in his position as Reserves Coach but due to family circumstances
this will not be confirmed until later this month.
Robbie Lawford has moved up to a position of Assistant
Senior Coach. Paul Dimattina has been appointed Coach of the
Colts team. Danny Frew has been appointed as Chairman of
Selectors and will assist Lex on match days and Mark Backman will
also assist Lex on match days.
Robbie Lawford will be in charge of planning and conducting
(with the assistance of others) the pre season program and the
season proper training sessions.
Some of the key changes in the football program include the
Senior Coach being available at Tuesdays trainings, placing more
emphasis on individual and group player development and improved
communication between players and coaches.
The pre season proper will
commence on January 30th and the Competition season will commence
on Saturday April 14th.
